A SPECIAL OPPORTUNITY!   When it comes to tangible financial expressions of support, there are many ways that our donors choose to make gifts to St. Gertrude Monastery.  We'd like to make you aware of a special gift opportunity that the U.S. federal government made possible in August, 2006.  The IRA Rollover Bill (H.R. 4) allows direct trmsfers from Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs) to go to nonprofits without tax implications.  This bill will be in place only until December 31, 2007, so time is critical.  Please contact your legal or tax advisor if you'd like to take advantage of this giving opportunity.             Oblate Meetings  The mini-retreat Faith & Film planned by Father Paul Mast and the late Sister Mary Paul McLaughlin will still take place April 25-26, 2008.
